WHO WE ARE… 
Regina Wallace – This is my 1st year at Harding Middle School.  I am at Harding for 5 days a week.

We are here to support all students so that they may be as successful as possible. We also will help students navigate any health barriers which they encounter that would keep him or her from reaching their full academic potential. Throughout the year we provide case management for students with chronic and short term illnesses, as well as injuries so that each student can access the school program fully. Health Prevention and health education are also important in promoting a healthy lifestyle now and in the future.

WHAT WE DO…
Immunization monitoring and compliance
Screening of Vision, Height, Weight for all Students Grade 6-8
Scoliosis Screening for Grades 6,7
Hearing Screening for Grade 7
First Aid and Sick Visits
Case management for Chronic Illnesses with Students, Parents and Staff
Health Education
Referrals to Community Resources
Meet with Students and/or Parents regarding health concerns or barriers

WHEN TO KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME…
Fever over 100*F
Vomiting or Diarrhea
Nausea or change/decrease in appetite
Wheezing that does not clear with an Inhaler or Nebulizer
Coughing that does not stop
If your child is awake all night with cold and cough symptoms
Lethargy or feeling unwell
Severe Headache or Headache not relieved with medication

What We Need From Parents…
Please contact us if we can be of assistance with your child’s health needs

Student Emergency/Medical Information  completed for ALL STUDENTS yearly

Physical-Examination Form and Dental Form Completed by All Grade 7 Students and All New Students

Medication Form  for ALL Students who require ANY medication during the school day

Up To Date Immunization Records Including:

Tdap – Given after age 10
Polio – given after age 4
Varicella -2 doses
MMR – 2 doses
Hepatitis B – 3 or 4 doses properly spaced Menactra/MCV4 – one dose
Covid 19 Precautions…

Proper Handwashing for at least 20 seconds
Use Hand Sanitizer when unable to wash hands with soap and water
Wear a Mask
Remember to Socially Distance…Maintain 6 feet from one another
Stay home if you have any of the following symptoms:
Fever, New Cough, Shortness of Breath, Loss of Taste and/or Smell
